Do they issue a police badges as the prize in the Cracker Jack's box in Evansville, IN?

Who thinks that if you're going to raid a house it might be a good idea, to try to find out who is inside and how many? You would be wrong if you said, "the Evansville, Indiana Police Swat Team."
"Police Chief Billy Bolin said, “We have no way of being able to tell that,” and the concerning Internet posts “definitely come back to that address.”"

It is called a stake-out, their was even a movie. Did they even try to assertain who was accualy in the house at the time of the raid, or do they like to go in blind it adds to the rush.
"Sgt. Jason Cullum, a police department spokesman, “This is a little more difficult that a traditional crime scene, because we’re dealing with the Internet. They definitely weren’t expecting (a SWAT team at the door). The reason we did that is the threats were specific enough, and the potential for danger was there.”"

Do they not teach how to surveil someone in investagating 101?
Let's put the public at risk, so we, the police, can feel safe.

Highlight Reel....

The broken record that is my life and some reshout-outs:

God Help Us...We can't be Bothered...

Stuck in the Middle...

"Sometimes it is said that man cannot be trusted with the government of himself. Can he, then, be trusted with the government of others?"

- Thomas Jefferson

"Of liberty I would say that, in the whole plenitude of its extent, it is unobstructed action according to our will. But rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add “within the limits of the law,” because law is often but the tyrant’s will, and always so when it violates the right of an individual."

- Thomas Jefferson

Why do poeple try to force, those around them, to live by tyrants will, by a moral code not of theirown choosing. To in effect enslave those around them to thier will. To paraphrase Thomas Jefferson, If it neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg, what do I care what people believe.

Thinking About Thinking...

"Freedom makes a huge requirement of every human being. With freedom comes responsibility. For the person who is unwilling to grow up, the person who does not want to carry is own weight, this is a frightening prospect."

- Eleanor Roosevelt

This is genius...

Government Insanity...

Who are you???

WTF .... Penn State...

Sultan Knish...

A secret... Shhhh....

If only... Sigh...

But would I have to give up bacon? Mmmmmmmmm... Bacon.

To Sum Up...

Sorry for the rant...

But not really!

The ones that think they know whats best are the ones you have got to watch.

This post from Borepatch got me to thinking about it's not just about "Sheep, Wolves and Sheepdogs" or even about "Mutts" It's the shepherds you really need to watch out for. Those people that feel they know what is best for the sheep even if it's being put into a lamb stew.

There is a feeling expressed by those who have been to the sharp end. That they see the wold clearer than most. Maybe so, but that doesn't give you the right to make me a slave to your will. Sheep are not free thay are the property of the sheperd, and he can do with them as he wills.

An out of control sheepdog is a symptom of an out of control shepherd, but the shepherd never gets the blame. Also, what happens to the sheepdog that hurts or kills a sheep?

The Thin Blue Line - the us vs. them crap needs to stop.

A lot of evil has been perpratrated with the justification of "This is for your own good!"

I did not join the millitary because it would make me special or beter than someone who didn't. People that become soldiers, firefighters, police officers are men and women that made a choice to do a job for reasons of theirown. If you joined one of these groups to become spiecial or join a brotherhood you need help.

Those that feel they have they right or the ability to take care of those around them are a danger to us all. I personaly have a hard enogh time keeping myown life in order; let alone trying to be responsible for all those around me. People need to first get and keep their own life in order before they even think about helping others.

A plea to all those in power if you actually feel qualified to make life choices for me put down your gun or legislative pen and back away slowly.

More Us vs Them Crap.

I always wonder what mithical them they are trying to protect when their trained to think of everyone not in a blue uniform as the enemy or at the very lest a threat. The Police are not worried about public safety or your safety. They're worried about their safety.

Ran across this at wirecutters blog - Knucledraggin my life away.

They're like a vicious poorly trained guard dog that you have to be careful interacting with, because your never quite sure if its going to bite you or not. If I could, I would require every Officer to take Rory Miller & Marc "Animal" MacYoungs Conflict Communication course/seminar. Link here.

They act like they are in the most dangerious job in the world and that they coulde die at any moment. I used to be able to say that they wheren't even in the top 10, but no longer.

Sigh... :-(

Must Reads!!!!

The very first blog I read was "Chiron" because I read the authors first book "Meditations on Violence" a must read.

This Authors better half has published an E-book you can find it here: "House of Goats" on Amazon for Kindle, and "House of Goats" on Smashwords.

I don't do book reviews; other than, to say I found them worth reading and enjoyed them.
